Interactive Storytelling
I designed an interactive story for an assignment at school. It was part of the course ‘Storytelling’. I started with writing stories with tasks like ‘‘This is the e-mail you accidentally sent to the wrong person.’
Later, I wrote a romance about life on Mars in the year 2091 with someone else. We made the story interactive by putting in the possibility to make choices in the story. The reader could decide what would happen. We did this with the program Twine. We thought about chronology and different acts. The story contains an introduction, a disturbance of balance, a crisis and the end. We worked deeply on our characters, so that the actions they undertake fitted them well.
